Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), and Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) are major universities specialized in natural sciences and engineering. Those universities pursuing research-oriented ones have the merit that, even in the undergraduate course, students can conduct the researches and experiments, almost equivalent to those of the graduate and doctorial courses. The nonscheduled admission of the four universities is completely conducted by Admission Officer System.
