GIST will play an active role after receiving the spirit of Oryong-dong(five dragon village)

 

-GIST has been serving as a hub of Science&Technology in the Gwangju and nearby region since its establishment in 1993.

-GIST fulfills its social responsibility for example by an opening after-school class for low income class.

In greeting the Dragon"s Year, GIST(President Jung-ho Sonu) was put under the spotlight as it is located in Oryong-dong meaning five dragon village. GIST is raising hope that it will make a great achievement in a place filled with the vital force of black dragon in the year of black dragon returning only every 60 years. 

The address of GIST is #1, Oryong-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju. This has been considered an auspicious site with its shape of five dragon who failed to ascended to heaven and landed on the foot of Mt. Byeong-pung.

On the foot of the mountain ridge, a hidden dragon, a blue dragon, a holly dragon, an alive dragon, and a black dragon have formed five dragon villages.

GIST located in this site of good luck and is receiving the vital energy of dragons is raising hope for winning a Nobel Prize that will contribute to the development world science and technology and the prosperity of mankind.
