A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
GIST holds a special event for juveniles participating in the extra-curricular program
GIST provided a meaningful event for the local students, drawing much attention from the local community.
GIST(Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, president Jung Ho Sonu) announced that it invited 70 local juvenile students and held "GIST extra-curricular summer camp" for two days on the 22nd and 23rd. This camp was open to those who had participated in "GIST extra-curricular school", which is a knowledge sharing program that GIST is conducting together with 13 local childrens" center in Gwangju province.
GIST, which has been encouraging and giving hope to local students with its knowledge sharing program activities, designed programs so that participants could visit new places such as GIST and experience new things and broaden their visions and minds.
Hong Guk Kim, head of GIST Foreign Cooperation Team, who supervised this event said "we organized this event based on the thought that it is important for the students to broaden their sentiments and experience through various environments and not only through books", and also added "although it is just a short event, we hope the students could enjoy and experience something memorable".
