A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) concluded the ‘GIST-POSCO ASIA FELLOWSHIP’ memorandum of Understanding with the POSCO TJ Park Foundation on October 9, 2006, with the intent of producing highly qualified professionals in Environmental Studies.
The POSCO Asia Fellowship is a scholarship program dedicated to inviting promising Asian government officials to Korea to enjoy opportunities to study and experience Korea"s society, culture, and economic development.
For selected Asian students studying in the field of Environmental energy at GIST, two-year tuitions and a monthly stipend of 500,000 won will be supported by the POSCO TJ Park Foundation.
This MOU will strengthen the roles of human networking in Energy & Environmental Studies in Asia for GIST and the POSCO TJ Park Foundation.
The President of GIST commented that, “I hope establishing the Fellowship between GIST and the POSCO TJ Park Foundation will strengthen the position of both institutions in terms of being the best research-oriented institutions in Asia.”
