GIST Business Incubator will select start-ups to receive support for overseas market entry

□ The GIST Business Incubator (Director Sung-geun Ki) at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) will continue to support the 'Start-up Take-Off Support Package' * program for various companies to enter overseas markets. Entrepreneurs for this program will be selected from April 26 (Thursday) to May 10 (Thursday).

* 'Start-up Take-Off Support Package' is a program to promote the development of new business start-ups (less than seven years old) by helping them overcome difficulties during the time known as the "Death Valley" of commercialization. The program will also support Fourth Industrial Revolution start-ups.

□ From April 11 to 14, 2018, the GIST Business Incubator was in Hanoi, Vietnam, to support 13 Korean companies in attracting new investors and funding while helping them gain access to new markets.

□ Director Sung-geun Ki said, "The GIST Business Incubator supports not only the 'Start-up Take-Off Support Package' program but also supports start-ups in gaining market entry to Vietnam and China. We will actively support business start-ups to overcome the 'Death Valley' of commercialization and grow their business in real terms by supporting them in overseas markets."
