GIST signs MoU with Daeshin Information & Communication Co., Ltd.

□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Daeshin Information & Communication Co., Ltd., for research and development collaboration in fields related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, such as artificial intelligence, IoT, defense, and national security.

□ The MoU signing ceremony was held on January 19, 2018, and was attended by GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon and other key stakeholders attended the meeting to discuss research cooperation.

∘ Daeshin Information Communication Co., Ltd. is a medium-sized enterprise headquartered in Gwangju with 30 years of experience and plays a pivotal role in the system integration (SI) industry. They plan to explore new growth engine that utilizes security science and technology.

□ GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the establishment of AI-based science and technology campus and establishment of business towns in the 4th Industrial Revolution era through excellent human and research exchanges.
