GIST APRI hosts "1st International APRI Workshop 2017 and MoU Signing Ceremony"

□ The Advanced Photonics Research Institute (APRI, Director Byeong Ha Lee) at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) hosted "1st International APRI Workshop 2017 and MoU Signing Ceremony" on December 7, 2017,  for collaborative research and personnel exchanges with the National Institute of Physics (NIP, Prof. Arnel Salvador) of the University of the Philippines.

∘ Dr. Do Hoang Tung of the Physics Research Institute of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Nguyen Phuong Dong of the Vietnam National Laser Technology Center, and Professor Arnel Salvador and Professor Nathaniel Hermosa of the National Institute of Physics of the Philippines presented various topics on laser and photonics.

□ At the end of the workshop, APRI signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Institute of Physics (NIP, Professor Arnel Salvador) for collaborative research and personnel exchanges in the laser and photonics fields.

□ APRI Director Byeong Ha Lee said, "Through this MoU between APRI and the National Physics Research Institute of the University of the Philippines, we will maintain closer ties with the major research institutes of foreign universities and strive to promote international cooperation in photonic technology."
