"2017 GIST Hope Concert" is held for the success of AI-based start-ups and the future vision of GIST

□ The Office of International and Public Affairs (IPA, Dean Yong Chul Kim) at the Gwangju Institute of Sciene and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) GIST (Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, President Moon Seung-hyun) hosted the '2017 GIST Hope Concert' on November 30, 2017.


□ In particular, the hope concert will promote the GIST 's hope and future vision by promoting the success of the "Artificial Intelligence - based Science and Technology Establishment Town Development Project," which selected as a presidential campaign promise for Gwangju, and various social contribution projects currently in progress.


□ This event was held jointly by GIST's Korea Institute of Culture and Technology (DirectoSoon Boo Park), Gwangju Employers Federation of Korea, and E-newspaper. The event was held on the first floor of Oryong Hall on the first floor with a capacity of 400 seats and featured dancing musical instruments, and multi-media arts.
∘The performances were given by the Sinawi ensemble performance and the world-famous violinist Ji-hye Park, which were combined with multi-media art designed by GIST Korea Institute of Cultural Technology.

∘ IPA Dean Yong Chul Kim, who hosted the concert, introduced GIST's excellent research achievements, various social contribution activities currently underway at GIST, such as science school, learning hall, donation of science books, and a water purifier business. He said, "GIST will continue to contribute to the spread of science culture and community development through high-quality cultural events and informative social contribution programs that can benefit local people."
□ GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, "I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all those who have supported GIST with unwavering devotion, and I hope that this event will be a meaningful start to the promise made by the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology to the community."
