□ Gwangju Management Association * Chairman Sang-joon Choi and CEO of Namwha Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., one of the leading construction companies in Gwangju, visited GIST's campus on August 24, 2017.
* Established in 1981, the Gwangju Management Association is the only organization in the region that contributes to regional economic revitalization through human resources development projects, such as advanced labor-management relations, job creation, and education and training. It has over 200 regular members and 1,300 special members involved in business activities.
□ Chairman Choi visited GIST's major institutes such as the Silver Health Bio Research Center, the Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Energies, and the GIST Public Relations Center. "We are proud to have a well-established special science and technology university such as GIST in Gwangju. We hope that GIST will communicate with local companies in various ways, including industry-academia cooperation."
□ Chairman Choi performs various social contribution activities, such as serving as Chief of the Chungnam Branch of the Korea Red Cross, Gwangju, for regional development.
