Professor Yong-Joo Doh has contributed 12 million KRW to the GIST Development Fund

□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST • President Seung Hyeon Moon) announced that Professor Yong-Joo Doh of the Department of Physics and Photon Science has donated 12 million KRW to the GIST Development Fund on June 16, 2017.

∘ Professor Doh graduated from Seoul National University and Pohang University of Science and Technology, and he was appointed as a professor in the Department of Physics and Photon Science at GIST in 2016.

□ On June 16, GIST hosted a donation ceremony for the Development Fund, which was attended by about 10 people, including office workers and faculty members on the 5th floor of the Main Administration Building.

□ Professor Doh said, "I came to GIST and felt grateful for the school's support, especially for the research equipment that I needed to start my lab, so I decided to donate to express my gratitude to the school. I hope that my donation will be used meaningfully to develop GIST." The donated funds will be used to support physics and optical science at GIST.
