Attorney Joong-Don Kook donated 10 million KRW to the GIST Development Fund

□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST • President Seung Hyeon Moon) announced that attorney Joong-Don Kook has donated 10 million KRW to the GIST Development Fund on June 15, 2017, in commemoration of the Fund's first year anniversary.

∘ Attorney Joong-Don Kook graduated from Gwangju High School and Korea University and passed the 27th Judicial Examination. He has been a lawyer in the Gwangju Jeonnam region and served as chairman of the Gwangju District Attorney.

∘ He has been working as a director with the GIST Development Foundation and the Development Support Committee (Chairman Hwang-shik Kim).

□ On June 15, GIST Development Foundation held a donation ceremony for the Development Fund, which was attended by about 10 people, including GIST staff and faculty members on the 5th floor of the Main Administration Building.

□ Attorney Kook said, "I have always watched the growth and vision of GIST, which is a leading science and engineering university that will usher in the future. I hope that GIST will continue contributing to the development of national science through the cultivation of talented students in the fields of science and technology, and I also hope that my donation will be used meaningfully for GIST's development and its students."
