□ The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) hosted a conference for 160 parents from the Gyeongbuk area in Daegu on May 23 at the Hotel Inter-Burgo and from the Gyeongnam area in Busan on May 24 at the Westin Chosun.
□ The conference was organized to improve direct communication between parents and high-level GIST administrators, including President Seung Hyeon Moon and Vice President of Public Affairs Pill Hwan Park.
□ In his opening remarks, GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, "I am very pleased to personally meet with all of the parents at this meeting, and I hope that the college and the parents will be able to communicate positively so that we will be able to better raise their children as good citizens."
□ After the conference, a parent said, "The expectation and trust that I have for my child attending GIST College is getting stronger because I had the chance to hear directly from the president about school's current status and future vision. I would like to express my gratitude to you."
