Joint admissions seminar for Korea's science and technology institutes

□ Korea's four science and technology institutes, including GIST (President Seung Hyeon Moon), will hold joint admissions seminar on April 29, 2017 (Saturday).

∘ The joint admissions seminars will held at KAIST, DGIST, and UNIST.

∘ This seminar will be held on April 29, 2017, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm. A counseling room will be set up for each university, and individual counseling will be conducted for the students and parents who participate.

∘ Attending this admissions seminar is free for students, parents, and teachers who are interested in the science and engineering field, and there is no application process to attend this seminar. Participants will be provided with informational brochures for each university.

□ Established in 1993, GIST has for the past 20 years been developing world-class research capabilities based on its research infrastructure and accumulated expertise. In terms of the number of SCI theses published per professor, it has steadily maintained its number one position in Korea for the past few years. In 2016 for the second consecutive year, the QS World University Rankings ranked GIST number one in the world for 'citations per faculty'.

∘ The undergraduate program at GIST started from the 2010 school year, and a total of about 200 students will be selected for the 2018 school year. GIST will accept admissions applications for the 2018 school year from September 11 to 15, 2017, and successful candidates will be announced on October 24, 2017.
