Dr. Hong Guo, a foreign graduate of the School of Earth Science and Environmental Engineering, becomes a researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences

□ Dr. Hong Guo, a foreign graduate of the School of Earth Science and Environmental Engineering at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon), was appointed as a senior researcher at the Shanghai Advanced Research Institute (SARI) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) * in April of this year.

* The Chinese Academy of Sciences in Shanghai is one of the best academic institutions in China for energy and environmental fusion research and technology development.

∘ Dr. Hong Guo's appointment appointment was based on the international recognition GIST has received for high-level environmental research and for the training outstanding researchers.

□ Dr. Hong Guo said, "Based on the research capacity that I gained at GIST, I will carry out research to improve the level of membrane-based water treatment technology and environmental modeling in China and to develop the water treatment process in both countries."

□ Dr. Hong Guo graduated from China's prestigious Chemical Engineering Department at Yanbian University of Science and Technology and received his Ph.D. in February from GIST's School of Earth Science and Environmental Engineering.

∘ During his Ph.D. at GIST, Dr. Hong Guo worked on the analysis of membrane surface phenomena and membrane-based water treatment process performance for high salt water in shale gas production. He also worked as a membrane distillation / crystallization distillation, MD / crystallization) process modeling methodology.
