Chaired Professor Hie-Joon Kim of GIST College’s Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences delivered on April 1 a special public lecture hosted by KAOS Foundation on the theme of “The Origin of Matter.”

Short for Knowledge Awakening On Stage, KAOS was founded by Chairman Ki Hyung Lee of Interpark, a leading online commerce company in Korea, for the purpose of popularizing basic science. The foundation is presenting a special public lecture series in the first half of 2015 on an overarching theme of “The Origin.”

Chaired Professor Kim appeared as the second speaker of the 10-lecture series being held in Bear Hall in Samsung-dong, Seoul. “I hope these lectures will provide an opportunity for scientists to better communicate with the public,” he said.
