"Jieon Narae" is set to take off at GIST!
GIST Ambassador Program is ready to promote GIST and
recruit new students
GIST"s International and Public Affairs team under the
guidance of Dean Byoung Hun Lee has created the GIST Ambassador Program
to help promote GIST to others around the world. Comprised of GIST students,
the first members of the GIST Ambassador Program were selected and
officially commissioned on December 28, 2015, in a ceremony hosted by GIST
President Seung Hyeon Moon in Oryong Hall.
The name "Jieon Narae" (meaning "wings will
be used to tell the whole world about GIST") was selected for the GIST Ambassador Program through an online competition held on Facebook in
November 2015. Among the first thirteen students to be selected as ambassadors
are twelve GIST College students (Geun Hee Gwak, Young Jin Kim, Ji Hyun Park, Tae
Seung Baek, Jae Young Sun, Joo Eun Shin, Ji Eun Lee, Joon Young Jung, Hye Ryun
Cho, Young Woo Ji, Soo Hyun Choi, and Gui Dong Han) and one graduate student
from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering (So Young Kim).
These enterprising young ambassadors have a tremendous amount
of school spirit, and they will help the International and Public Affairs teams
promote GIST through a variety of actives, such as by providing campus tours to
visitors and prospective new students, by using social media to engage with a
wider audience to help share the GIST story, and by participating in various
promotional activities.
