“Develop elites with integrated thinking through excellency education” Interview with the dean of GIST, Do Young Noh “The area that we emphasize the most to out students is ‘excellency’. In order not to become a big fish in a small pond, it is important to start building physical fitness to compete on the world stage.” The dean of GIST, Do Young Noh, emphasized the importance of raising talented students in science fields who can compete in the global market. It is implementing the ‘3C1P’ campaign for excellency. ‘3C1P’ refers to Creativity, Cooperation, Communication, and Problem Creating & Solving. Besides the basic science courses, a variety of curriculum is being implemented including humanities, arts and physical education. Also, a communication channel is established to exchange ideas between professors and students through house system.
