Semiconductor that bends over freely has been developed (KBS, YTN Reports)

An electronic device(component) that is thin and bends freely has been developed. It is considered as an accomplishment as it heralds the coming of futuristic mobile devices such as bendable mobile phones or computers.

Lee Tak-hee, Professor of Physical Astronomy at Seoul National University and Park Seong-joon, who is on the doctoral course on New Materials Engineering at GIST announced on July 11, 2012 that they succeeded in implementing an electronic device with a film of ‘self-assembled unimolecular’ with the widths of only 1~2 nanometers(1/1billion meters) on a bendable plastic. The research result has been published in the latest edition of “the Nature Nanotechnology.”
