A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
GIST holds the 7th Kyung Ahm Bio Youth Camp - Intended to promote high school students" interests in life sciences - Participants include 200 students from Gwangju and Jeonnam regions. Programs include lectures, discussions, etc. On July 27, the 7th Kyung Ahm Bio Youth Camp was held in Oryonggwan, the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, president: Jung-Ho Sonu) under the auspice of Kyung Ahm Education and Culture Foundation (president: Geumjo Song) and management of the Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology (president: Yang Do Choi). Professor Youngsoo Jeon (GIST School of Life Sciences) who was in charge of the Bio Youth Camp Gwangju event remarked "this camp is intented to introduce the latest research trends in the field of life sciences to high school students and promote their interests in the field. It has offered them whole-new information that they have not seen in the textbook, attracting them into a new world of science."
