Dear residents of graduate dormitories and married student apartments:

Warm greetings! As Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, I am so happy to see the housing facilities for our graduate students continue to improve, with the recent opening of the new Dormitory Building 9 and the nearing completion of the remodeling work for the existing Buildings 1 to 6 scheduled in November.

The Office of Academic and Student Affairs will now focus on raising the level of customer satisfaction by improving the operation of graduate dormitories and married student apartments. In order for us to do so, it is essential that the Student Committee for Graduate Housing Operation take a more active role. As such, we will push for 1) enhancing communication between the Committee and the residents, 2) improving the makeup and the election process of the Committee, 3) strengthening the status and rights of the Committee, and 4) specifying the duties of the Committee chairperson and giving him/her a higher treatment.

To that end, we will listen to diverse voices and hear opinions on a wide range of matters regarding graduate housing throughout this semester. I sincerely ask all of you to actively put forth constructive suggestions. Based on your suggestions, we will work with the new Committee to do our best in operating the new graduate dormitories and married student apartments in the spring 2015 semester and thereafter.

I wish all of you great results in your study and research and great satisfaction in your campus life.

Thank you,

Professor Chul-Seung Park

Dean of Academic and Student Affairs
