Gumho Jutaek Co., Ltd., donates

10 million won to the GIST Development Fund

GUMHO JUTAEK CO., LTD., a regional mid-sized housing company, has donated 10 million won to the GIST Development Fund on October 5, 2016. In making the donation, GUMHO JUTAEK CEO Kim said, "The future success of Gwangju and the Jeonnam region as well as the rest of Korea depends on the continued development of outstanding science and technology, and I have tremendous hope in GIST."

CEO Kim also mentioned GIST"s QS World University Ranking as part of his decision to donate: "As a citizen of Gwangju, I am proud to know that GIST has been ranked second in the world for two years in a row now. I believe local entrepreneurs have a social responsibility to donate in support of GIST"s record of excellence."

GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon said, "Despite these difficult economic times in Korea and abroad, I would like to thank the generosity of CEO Kim and Gumho Jutaek Co., Ltd., in making this donation to the GIST Development Fund. GIST will continue to actively interact with the community as we continue to grow as a world-class science and technology institution, and your donation will help make GIST more successful."
