Professor Jeha Ryu of GIST School of
Mechatronics has been appointed a member of the technical editorial board of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. As a member of the board, Professor Ryu will be performing
duties such as classifying submitted papers and assigning judges for three
years.
Professor Ryu received his Ph.D. degree
in mechanical engineering from University of Iowa in the United States in 1991
and has been on the faculty of GIST School of Mechatronics since 1994, where he
currently leads the Human Robotics Laboratory.
Previouly, Professor Ryu also served as an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Haptics in 2007 –
2010. His
research interests include human-machine-computer
interface, parallel robot manipulators, automobiles, and haptic devices for
virtual reality interface.
