A multimedia mosaic of moments at GIST
The Advanced Photonics Research Institute (APRI) at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) concluded a joint research MOU with the Prague Asterix Laser System (PALS) in the Czech Republic for laser research development.
The Prague Asterix Laser System (PALS) is world-renowned for its excellence in X-Laser and high energy molecular beam development using high power lasers.
Both institutions will conduct research for the development of X-lasers, which is produced when an ultra-power microwave laser pulse ionizes a gas medium.
The director of APRI, Mr. Jong-min Lee, said, “This MOU contract represents the position of APRI as an International Research Institution and both institutions will strengthen collaboration through human resource and technology exchanges.”
