  • 박수정
  • REG_DATE : 2023.11.01
  • HIT : 88

Recently, bedbugs have appeared at home and abroad, and related articles have been reported.

Therefore, we will guide you on how to prevent and control bedbugs as follows
* As of today, we are attaching the "Bedbugs Information Book" distributed by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ministry of Education, so please be familiar with the relevant information and how to respond.
* The following is a summary of relevant information and an excerpt or summary of important matters

■ Bedbugs
- a pest that is not an infectious disease medium but causes itching and allergic skin reactions

- Small in length, hiding in narrow gaps such as mattresses, beds, wallpaper, and clothes

- Mostly active at night and early morning

■ Preventive Actions
- Since it is attached to luggage and clothes and reproduces after invading the room, make sure to check for traces of bedbugs on clothes and luggage after overseas business trips, travel, and visits to areas suspected of bedbugs

- Check for traces of bedbugs when trading used goods

- Maintain a dry environment and take care of food waste

Note "Table" at the bottom

■ Prevention Method

- Clean Mattress and house(room) using vacuum (steam and high heat) and wash it with hot water (over 60 degrees Celsius)

However, after cleaning and washing, sufficient drying does not cause secondary damage due to moisture

- Spray relevant insecticide and dry and ventilate naturally

- Bedbugs have excellent reproductive power and are difficult to control individually, so prevention is the best control

■ How to take action in case of bedbugs

- If you find a pest suspected of bedbugs, report it to the Dormitory Managers Office and the Section of Student Services immediately

Graduate Dorm Manager T.2800,4600, University Dorm Manager T.5800, Married Apartment T. T.2700

Section of Student Services T.3602 (graduate dormitory, married apartment), T.3606 (university dormitory)

- Active treatment through hospital treatment in case of suspected itchy lesions

In compliance with the above matters and the attached information, the pest prevention measures are taken I ask for your cooperation.

It is time for joint efforts to maintain a healthy environment.

Thank you.
