Israeli Ambassador H.E. Chaim Choshen visits GIST

□ Ambassador of Israel H.E. Chaim Choshen * visited the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, President Seung Hyeon Moon) on October 27, 2017, to promote cooperation for educational and research exchanges between Israel and GIST.

* Ambassador H.E. Chaim Choshen is a graduate of Hebrew University in Israel and has served as Ambassador of Israel to Korea since 2016 after serving as the Director of the Asia Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director of Southeast Asia in South Asia, and the Deputy Secretary of the Japanese Embassy in Japan.

□ The Israeli Ambassadors visited the Hall of Fame in the publicity center on the first floor of the main administrative building was guided by GIST PR ambassadors. After that, he toured the Advanced Photonics Research Institute and listened to faculty members discuss research results.

□ GIST President Seung Hyeon Moon and Ambassador H.E. Chaim Choshen discussed future cooperation between GIST and Israeli universities through education (student) and research exchanges.
