The completed set of application documents should be sent to:
- All GIST students are exempt from tuition.
Monthly Stipends
- All GIST students receive stipends throughout two years for M.S. programs, and four years for Ph.D. programs. M.S. Students receive monthly stipends of 220,000 won and 250,000 won for Ph.D. students. International students are given an additional 120,000 won, as an international student support stipend.
Airfare Reimbursement
- GIST reimburses one-way economy class airfare incurred for international students' travel to Gwangju, Korea upon their arrival.
Free Dormitory Housing
- GIST provides all students with on-campus dormitory housing free of charge, monthly utility fees of 30,000won will be deducted from your monthly stipends. GIST also has apartments for married students. but rent and utility fees are charged.
Research Activities Supports
- Experiment Costs, Thesis/Dissertation Research Expenses, Research Assistantship and Medical Insurances

- Those who are admitted to GIST M.S. or Ph.D. programs are eligible to apply for one of the following scholarships.
